It's part of a traditional four-sided farmstead whose grounds border directly on the small Löcknitz River, which meanders parallel to the Elbe. Just cross a small side street to reach the river, where you'll find an orchard and a lovely seating area. The charming town of Lenzen, with its prominent castle, is considered the gateway to the Elbe River floodplain nature reserve.
