Upstairs, the principle bedroom boasts a comfy king-size bed that sits snuggly within the eaves and has its own spacious en-suite bathroom.
Outside, a paved patio area houses the garden furniture. Step up to the generous lawn with mature planting and a garden bench positioned for quiet contemplation.
This beautiful ‘chocolate box' thatched cottage dates back to the 17th century and was once the village post office. A remnant of those days is the red post box adorning the front of the property. Corner Thatch is situated in the idyllic Doomsday Book listed village of Abbotts Morton where many of the buildings retain their ‘black and white' half-timbered charm.
The nearby villages of Inkberrow (the inspiration behind The Archer's 'Ambridge'); Flyford Flavell; and Radford offer an excellent range of pubs and village stores. Make sure you stock up on holiday goodies at Hillers award winning farm shop, just three miles away from Corner Thatch, where Ragley Meats are available, a great deli, a superb fish monger, gift shop and fabulous cafe/restaurant. A little further afield, the beautiful Cotswolds and Warwickshire borders, including Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle are around half an hour away.
