Torrnalaich Cottage is set in the grounds of a peaceful and beautifully wild 400-acre estate on the west coast of Scotland. A beautifully renovated stone cottage, once part of a Victorian shooting lodge and steading, it exudes character. Perfect for a romantic escape, or for a single traveller, it feels cosy in winter when the log fire is roaring and is stunning in spring and summer when the surrounding gardens burst into bloom. Enjoy days filled with relaxing walks in the wilds of the estate, listening to the sounds of nature and nights stargazing from the comfort of the cottage.
The space
This renovated stone cottage features period details, alongside luxurious soft furnishings, and modern fixtures and fittings, plus there's WiFi.
Sleeping up to two adults in one double bedroom, the cottage makes a cosy, romantic escape.
When it's time to cook a romantic meal, there's a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, a fridge and a freezer, plus a dining area. Meanwhile, the lounge is the ideal place to snuggle up and relax in front of the open fireplace. There is plenty of ambient lighting to create even more atmosphere, while the Smart TV has Freesat for those movie nights in.
There's also a shower room with rainfall shower head, a WC and a basin.
You'll also have access to a private garden area with seating, as well as a BBQ hut which is shared with the adjoining cottage.
If you need more accommodation, the adjoining cottage is family-friendly and sleeps up to 8 guests, should you wish to book both.
Guest access
If you arrive before 19:00 the owners will meet you on arrival. Otherwise, there is a key safe where you can access the key to the lodge for a self-check-in.
