Burnside Cottage is one of two cottages in The Mill of Camserney available for holiday retreats. Camserney Mill Cottages, a small holding with rare breed Soay sheep comprises The Mill House - detached granite cottage with two double bedrooms and private garden (see full details under listing # 10323628) and Burnside Cottage. Burnside is also a traditional granite cottage, Semi-detached, set in c 6 acres of rural Scotland with its own Burn running alongside. The cottage is attached to the owners home - The Steading.
It is converted to provide extensive comfortable self-catering accommodation. Well equipped kitchen (full size cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine). Alternatively you have the choice of the local eateries in Aberfeldy 3 miles away or Ailean Chraggan en route.
Ground floor double bedroom/family bathroom with shower and there is a second toilet and basin on the first floor along with another two other twin bedded rooms- all commanding stunning views. The sitting room has a wood burning stove to warm any chilly evening.
Burnside cottage adjoins the owners home with shared gravel courtyard and parking . A private no through road leads to the properties which are set back in their own 5 acres of land.
Virtually all interests are catered for: Dewar's distillery in Aberfeldy along with Birks cinema for film and live theatre showings and Breadalbane Community campus with Sports and Leisure -Outdoor pitches, fitness suite, dance studio, squash courts, swimming pool, climbing wall, indoor sports halls. Pitlochry c 17 miles away famous for the salmon fish ladder, theatre and Blair Athol whisky distillery. C 27 miles and you can enjoy extensive retail therapy at The House of Bruar which also offers restaurant facilities. There is a designated trail to visit the Bruar falls too. Glenshee , ski and snowboard centre 39 miles away offers the UK's most extensive skiing and snowboarding facilities. Glenshee's impressive 22 lifts and 36 runs offer an amazing diversity of natural terrain for all standards of skiers and snowboarders.
COVID-19 has necessitated a few changes. We do not always keep a day or more free between lets, but we do provide pillows and duvets which have been quarantined for at least 72 hours between guests and we do utilise an UV Sterilisation lamp between guests. We use a Dettol laundry cleanser for laundering all laundry. We cannot quarantine the mattresses , but we change the mattress protector between visits. We follow UK and Scotland government guidance as appropriate.
