Positive: We stayed at Les Pierres Couchees, for 10 days after pleasant drive through France from Oxford. On arrival the staff at reception were welcoming and vey helpful. Like most French mobile home parks and campsites, the site is under tree cover, giving shade in hot weather. The accommodation was of a high standard, clean and tidy, but must be left as it was on arrival. The site is located about a kilometre from a sandy beach that is about five miles long. If it’s windy it is used by kite surfers, windsurfers and a small stretch of sand is used by sand yachts. During our early September visit we were lucky enough to have a couple of hot days. There is plenty of parking, the beach by comparison the UK is almost deserted. The site has a nice heated pool with a sunbathing area, it has a water slide and activities for children. The bar closed at 8:00pm on Sunday, not re-opening until Wednesday, but there are other bars and restaurants on the beach at St Brevin L-Ocean nearby. We took our Ebikes, as the area is brilliant for cycling, very flat with lots of cycle paths. The roads have cycle lanes and the drivers there are very courteous, though very few cyclists venture along the twenty inch wide cycle lane over the St Nazaire bridge.

Negative: We had a few issues in the Mobile home, like the shower head needed fixing, bottom tray in the door of the fridge was broken. We reported the issues but they were not fixed during our stay. Had to use string to tie the shower head up, so we could use it. There was very little evening entertainment, from our 9 night stay, there were only 2 nights when something was on and the last night we were there there was a big Gala event for the mobile home owners.

Summary: Location was great, very pleased we had our bicycles with us.
