Summary: Aux Charmes was our stopover the night before crossing from Calais on our way home to Scotland. We have stayed in several locations whilst making our road trips and Boulogne Sur Mer has become our preferred place to enjoy a last evening on the Mainland! Aux Charmes has been a great find. It is in a quiet Cul De Sac, yet a very short drive to Boulogne, and equally the A16 motorway. Even I, as a Scotsman did not mind the fact that we had to pay a toll before the free section to Calais. All of 96 pence, or 1.10 Euro. The room itself was clean, had all we needed for our short stay, and to cap it all, A large bathtub. After 3 weeks of travelling, this was a luxurious indulgence, especially for my wife, at a modest rate. I have no doubt that we will return to Aux Charmes, and have no hesitation in highly recommending their home.
